GCR RT Essential Standards moves towards publication with Global Health Dynamics partnership

GENEVA, SWITZERLAND – 18 September 2024

The Global Coalition for Radiotherapy (GCR) is pleased to announce their partnership with Global Health Dynamics. The official signing of the Memorandum of Understanding at the World Cancer Congress was attended by a well-rounded turnout of guests. Valued contributors to the GCR Radiotherapy (RT) Essential Standards, along with members of the GCR Leadership Team, and Global Health Dynamics CEO Tim Probart gathered to commemorate this important occasion.

This partnership with Global Health Dynamics will allow GCR to take the RT Essential Standards document to the next phase as they publish the Radiotherapy Supplement in Cancer Control Series. Global Health Dynamics specializes in producing high-quality health and medical publications, and will provide valuable support in helping us achieve our goals.

After global community involvement poured into the RT Essential Standards Project, and the launch of the living document last year at London Global Cancer Week, Tim Probart recognized that the GCR community had a valuable tool in our hands, and had a vision for this partnership.

"Global Health Dynamics is delighted to collaborate with the distinguished team at the Global Coalition for Radiotherapy for our next Cancer Control Supplement, which will focus on Essential Standards in Radiotherapy. We hope that this Supplement will help drive forward the uptake and more effective use of radiotherapy across the world in these challenging times for cancer care." - Tim Probart

Birgit Fleurent, Deputy Chair of the GCR Board said:

“The global and wide-spread reach of this Supplement will drive awareness, adoption and implementation of radiotherapy as a critical cancer treatment modality.”
